A personalised present does something a shop-bought one can’t: it tells the person you were thinking about them specifically, not just about Christmas. The trick is to personalise with something that means something — a photo, a family joke, a place, a date — rather than just adding a name to whatever was on offer.
A star in their name, even if you’ve left it late
Name a real star. A heartfelt gift they’ll cherish forever. Our sister company, The Star Naming Co., names a catalogued star with any wording you like, and the digital version arrives in minutes — so it’s one personalised present with no making time at all.
£9.99 delivered in minutes, or £19.99 as a printed Gift Pack posted free in the UK.
On the tree and on the shelf
A photo bauble from this year
An acrylic bauble printed with a photo of your choosing — the new baby, the dog, the holiday, the grandchildren in matching jumpers. It goes on the tree every year after, so it quietly becomes part of the family’s Christmas.
About £8.99.
A family photo collage for the wall at Christmas
Upload a handful of photos and they’re arranged into a framed A3 collage. It’s a lovely present for grandparents or parents who never get round to printing anything — and it means the year’s best pictures leave the phone at last.
About £24.99.
Engraved and printed things they’ll use
An engraved whisky glass for the Christmas dram
A bubble-style whisky glass engraved with their name and a tongue-in-cheek set of “measures” up the side. Fully personalised, so you can choose the wording — a good one for dads, grandads, brothers or anyone who likes a nightcap.
About £11.99.
A mug where the photo appears with the tea
A heat-change mug that looks plain until something hot goes in, then reveals your photo and message. A small surprise every morning, and an easy win for someone who drinks a lot of tea.
About £9.95.
Photo books, calendars and words of your own
A 2027 calendar of family photos
Twelve months, twelve favourite pictures — birthdays and anniversaries can be marked in too. It’s the present grandparents look at every single day, and it hangs in the kitchen all year.
From about £16.
Your 2026 in a printed photo book
Gather the year’s photos into a proper book, with a line or two under the best ones. It takes an evening to put together, so start early — and it’s the sort of thing people take off the shelf for years.
From about £12.
A coupon book written entirely by you
A blank coupon book where you write every voucher yourself — “one lie-in, no questions asked”, “a Sunday roast cooked by me”, “the remote for a whole evening”. It’s the most personal thing on this page because every word is yours.
About £27.99.
A few handwritten lines tucked inside
Whatever you choose, add a short note saying why you picked it — the photo you chose and what was happening that day, or the joke behind the engraving. It costs nothing and it’s often the part that gets kept.
Getting it right
- Check spelling twice — names, dates and nicknames. Engraving can’t be undone.
- Use a sharp, well-lit photo. Phone pictures are fine, but screenshots and old social media images often print blurry.
- Keep it to what they’d want on display. An in-joke is lovely on a mug, less so on a frame in the hallway.
